products that were actually Echinacea angustifolia.
Therefore, to deliver guaranteed products, we maintain
control over the entire seed-to-shelf process to
bring you ECHINILIN.
The Echinacea
purpurea seedlings are germinated in our own
greenhouses, and planted to optimize plant health
with watering, spacing, and fertilizing all precisely
monitored to ensure healthy and productive plants.
The mature plants
are harvested by hand and at the optimum time of
year to obtain the highest concentrations of active
compounds. The optimum time of the day is also selected
to minimize oxidative damage to the plants.
In making the final
product, the whole plant is used. Flowers are harvested
at peak maturity, leaves and stems are harvested
when they are vibrant and young and the roots are
harvested after they have reached full growth potential.
Quality control
technicians conduct analytical testing for the concentration
of active compounds at multiple stages during the
process. Each batch is analyzed individually to
meet pre-specified potency and quality criteria.
Each dosage form is assessed for biological activity
and extensive stability studies are conducted to
assess shelf-life of each finished product.
We hold strongly
our belief in environmental preservation. Therefore,
Echinacea purpurea plants are grown as a
renewable resource. We do not wild-craft where native
ecological balance may be disturbed. Our environment-friendly
practices preserve natural resources (water, biological
life and soil) and organic farming ensures no harmful
chemical residues are left in the soil or on the

Envirosimplex™
Processing
Envirosimplex is
the controlled processing environment we provide
to preserve the integrity of the sensitive active
ingredients naturally found in Echinacea. Freshness
is one of the primary factors in the integrity and
effectiveness of ECHINILIN.
Therefore, the plant
material is processed immediately upon harvesting
to prevent degradation. Nitrogen is used to minimize
oxidation during the extraction process and temperatures
are carefully controlled to prevent damage to plants
and extracts.
As the extraction
process utilizes the whole Echinacea purpurea
plant, the full spectrum of active compounds is
maintained. Water-soluble compounds are extracted
separately from non-soluble compounds. Solvent ratios
are carefully managed during extraction and only
bio-friendly solvents are used (ethanol and water),
so no harmful residual solvents are ever found in
the final product. The extracts are then recombined
at clinically studied ratios to guarantee biological
activity for a full spectrum finished product.
Low-temperature
processing minimizes heat-degradation of fresh herb
and preserves the product characteristics such as
smell, taste, and colour. By processing under vacuum,
premature oxidation and cross-reactions can be avoided.
Fluid-bed blending ensures even-distribution of
particles and short blending times minimize degradation
of active compounds. The moisture control reduces
water activity providing longer shelf-life. Reproducible
manufacturing methods ensure that each ECHINILIN
product you choose is consistent, reliable, and
effective from batch-to-batch, bottle-to-bottle.
